Sifu Larry D. Escher began his kung fu and kickboxing training under Sifu Jorgensen of Weapons at Hand Martial Arts. His penchant for chin-na (Chinese joint locks) led Mr. Escher to research and extend his joint lock knowledge through in-depth training with Mr. Jorgensen and other instructors: These instructors include Sensei Albert Lucio, Hock Hocheim, and Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming.
Along the way, Mr. Escher acquired training and rank in Combat Escrima and American Freestyle Karate.
Larry recently completed instructor training in Krav Maga under Eyal Yanilov, the Chief Instructor of the International Krav Maga Federation in Israel. This made Larry the first instructor in Texas to be personally taught, ranked, and certified by Eyal and the only IKMF representative in Houston.
Larry D. Escher now teaches Krav Maga as well as other martial arts to students and instructors in Katy, Texas (West Houston).
